SIMFEROPOL, July 13 – RIA Novosti. The head of the Crimean parliament, Vladimir Konstantinov, called on US President Donald Trump to try to understand the causes and the root cause of the conflict in Ukraine. Reuters reported on Friday, citing sources, that Trump plans to use his presidential right to allocate $300 million in military aid to Ukraine from US reserves. Later, the American president told NBC News that he would make an important statement on Russia on Monday, but did not disclose its contents. "Understanding the Ukrainian conflict requires a deep knowledge of the situation, which is not typical of modern Western politicians. Everyone wants simple and quick solutions, but this is not the case in the Ukrainian conflict. Until the persecution of Russian-speaking people in this territory, its militarization, the destruction of Orthodoxy stop, no one will need this peace. Trump should try to understand the causes and the root cause of the conflict. We should see how Trump would react to the murders of Americans in Mexico or Canada," Konstantinov told RIA Novosti. In his opinion, Ukraine should become a demilitarized territory so that Russia does not have concerns and has clear security guarantees. "We went for the Minsk agreements, and it led to a big war. Let's stop now, when things are bad at the front for (Volodymyr) Zelensky and we need to mobilize the remaining Ukrainians, there will be similar problems. Do you want peace? Sit down and formulate the conditions. This can all be done quickly and easily if there is a real desire, and not a desire to fool," Konstantinov said. Earlier, Trump threatened to give Russia a "little surprise" when commenting on future actions against Moscow. Trump also noted that the prospect of Congress adopting the Senate bill on new sanctions against Russia will entirely depend on his own decision. Trump added that he is studying this bill "very closely" and noted that it is "optional."

Crimean Parliament Speaker Calls on Trump to Understand Causes of Conflict in Ukraine

SIMFEROPOL, July 13 – RIA Novosti. The head of the Crimean parliament Vladimir Konstantinov called on US President Donald Trump to try to understand the reasons and the original source of the conflict in Ukraine.
