According to the Turkish statistical service, the total volume of seafood exports from Turkey to the Russian Federation, which mainly consists of fish, amounted to $25.3 million in April. The figure is 2.2 times higher than in April last year. However, in monthly terms, deliveries decreased by a quarter.
Russia bought most of all fresh or chilled fish from Turkey - for 16.2 million dollars: trout (13.7 million), sea bass (1.3 million), sea bream (1.2 million), etc.
Frozen fish was also supplied, worth $8.7 million, as well as fish fillets, meat and minced meat, worth $302 thousand.
