The Dostoevsky Drama Theatre ended its season in its temporary home with a spectacular premiere

The Novgorod Academic Drama Theatre named after Fyodor Dostoevsky has finished its next season the day before. Within the walls of the regional philharmonic society, the audience was delighted with the premiere performance "Heart of a Dog". Novgorodians first saw the production by director Igor Lebedev based on the work by Mikhail Bulgakov in March of this year. This time, the audience was also delighted.

The end of the season marked a series of successes for the theatre's creative staff. Ahead are a number of important tasks, including the upcoming return to the former walls.

"Over the course of 171 years, the theatre has transformed and moved more than once. And now we are waiting to return to our home stage. Very soon, the theatre will find a new life, a new form and new wings. I wish you a deep, fresh breath before the big leap, new insights and a solid foundation under your feet!", - noted Elena KIRILOVA, Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Novgorod Region, who attended the performance.

Let us recall that the completion of the reconstruction of the drama theater building on Sofiyskaya Embankment was planned for the second half of 2025. According to the order of the former governor of the Novgorod region Andrei Nikitin, the new theater season should take place in the renovated walls.
