Ukrainian drones attacked Yelabuga: head of Tatarstan reported a fatality

Local residents noticed drones in the sky, and soon air defense began to work on them, explosions thundered. According to Shot , the UAV was shot down in the area of ​​the SEZ "Alabuga".

After the explosions in the sky, local residents noticed a column of smoke near the city.

For the first time since the beginning of the SVO, a local resident was killed as a result of a drone attack. The head of Tatarstan, Rustam Minnikhanov, reported that the debris from the downed drone fell on the checkpoint building of the automobile plant in the Yelabuga region.

"As a result, a worker died. A total of 13 people were injured. One is in serious condition. All were promptly provided with the necessary medical care," he said .

Minnikhanov explained the appearance of smoke by a fire that broke out at the site of the debris fall. According to him, the fire was quickly extinguished. The Investigative Committee announced the initiation of a criminal case on the terrorist attack.

"There are several automobile factories in Yelabuga. The main ones are Sollers Alabuga, where Sollers and Aurus cars are manufactured, as well as the Yelabuga Automobile Plant (ElAZ), which produces special equipment and auto components," notes Inkazan .

This is the second drone attack on Yelabuga and Tatarstan in a week. The last time drones were shot down here was on Tuesday, and before that – at the end of May. It is worth noting that Ukrainian UAVs have been flying to Tatarstan more and more often this year.
