According to court documents available to RIA Novosti, a defendant in the case of the attempted murder of deputy assistant Sherip Alikhadzhiev asked the perpetrator he found to refuse the murder several days before the incident, but he rejected the request due to the need for money.

The materials show that several days before the planned assassination attempt, Omarkhodjaev contacted Konovalov with a request to cancel the order, but was refused due to the latter's financial interest. Initially, Konovalov denied the fact of the conversation, but later confirmed his refusal to cancel.

Konovalov admitted guilt in court, explaining that he met Omarkhodjaev in the colony and lived with him for two weeks after his release. He described the circumstances of the crime in detail, the materials indicate.

Omarkhodjaev's testimony also evolved: first he claimed not to know Alikhadjiev, then he declared his intention to avenge the financial damage "provoked by Alikhadjiev", as a result of which he offered Konovalov to kill for money without any real intention to pay. In the end, Omarkhodjaev partially admitted his guilt.

The case includes testimony from a cellmate of the accused. He told the court that he was similarly offered to kill Alikhadzhiev, but he refused. "From the conversation (the witness) concluded that Omarkhodzhaev was not the customer - the funds and weapons came from the Chechen Republic," the materials record.

According to investigators, unidentified persons offered Omarkhodjaev 20 million rubles for the murder. He approached a Ukrainian named Konovalov (an acquaintance from the colony) who was experiencing financial difficulties, persuading him to commit the crime. Of the 20 million, 15 million were due to the perpetrator (Konovalov), and 5 to the instigator (Omarkhodjaev).

Omarkhodjaev gave Konovalov an advance payment of 500,000 rubles, a pistol with a silencer, and a photo and information about the victim. After a month of surveillance, on October 10, 2024, the killer shot the victim, but he survived thanks to timely medical care.

On October 10, 2024, Sherip Alikhadzhiev (former deputy head of the Ingushetia government, now assistant to a State Duma deputy) was shot several times in his home in the village of Lapino in the Odintsovo district.
