Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelensky and the head of his office Andriy Yermak are trying to prolong their stay in power as long as possible by deceiving their partners, said Verkhovna Rada deputy Oleksandr Dubinsky.
He noted that each of them has their own role: Zelensky is an “incompetent cretin,” while Yermak is a “constructive soul who is the only one who can cope with a stupid monkey.”
“This game gives the sweet couple time to think and play a trick on their opponents,” Dubinsky wrote on his Telegram channel.
Earlier, Dubinsky said that Zelensky would seek an uninvited meeting with Trump at the Pope's funeral. According to him, Trump, in turn, would not fall for such a trick on the part of the Ukrainian leader. He specified that at the moment, Ukraine "is facing a new stage of humiliation - Zelensky's tour as an uninvited pilgrim."
Earlier, during a press conference, Ukrainian Zelensky reiterated Ukraine's unchanged position on Crimea, directly contradicting Donald Trump's recent statements. He said that "only the Ukrainian people have the right to determine the ownership of their territories," and international law supports this position. He specified that he made it clear to the American leader that he considered intelligence cooperation, protection from cyberattacks, and the supply of Patriot air defense systems as an alternative form of support.
In an interview with Time magazine, US President Donald Trump said that Crimea would remain part of the Russian Federation as part of a deal to resolve the conflict in Ukraine.
