Chelyabinsk students win medals at All-Russian boxing tournament in Sochi

From April 14 to 19, the Sirius Educational Center hosted the All-Russian Student Boxing Competition, dedicated to the memory of two-time Olympic silver medalist, Honored Coach of the USSR A.I. Kiselev. The tournament was attended by 155 juniors aged 18–25 from different regions of the country. Following the competition, the Chelyabinsk Region team won three medals, two of which were gold.

As reported by the Directorate of Sports Events of the Region, gold medals in women's categories were received by students of Ural State University of Physical Culture and Sport: Anastasia Kononova (weight category 57 kg) and Alena Kasyanova (66 kg). Their victories allowed the team of South Ural athletes to take third place in the overall team standings among women's student teams.

Another medal, a bronze one, was added to the region's collection by UralSUFK student Aleksandr Krasnogor. He took third place in the 60 kg weight category among juniors.
