Famous Russian athletes Dmitry Solovyov and Dina Averina have announced their wedding date. The figure skater and gymnast will become husband and wife on July 7 this year, RIA Novosti reports.
"We chose a beautiful date, July 7, 2025, for our wedding. We are preparing with the help of wedding planners, but in reality, the main thing is that we are the happiest on this day," the groom noted.
Dina Averina has won 18 world champion titles in her career in rhythmic gymnastics. She is also a silver medalist at the Tokyo Olympics.
Her future husband Dmitry Solovyov became the Olympic champion of the Sochi Olympics. He received the high award in the team tournament. He won his second Olympic medal, but this time in silver, in a duet with Ekaterina Bobrova in Pyeongchang.
As the agency reports, love between Dina and Dmitry flared up last fall. They starred together in the television project "Ice Age".
