Stp Trani, Sandrino's director fired: Mayor Leccese's line wins

Stp Trani, Sandrino's director fired: Mayor Leccese's line wins

The board of directors of Stp Trani has decided to proceed with the dismissal of Barbara Santeramo, general manager who had been subjected to disciplinary proceedings and who then sued the company for mobbing and violation of the regulations on "whistleblowing". The company has therefore accepted the line of the metropolitan mayor of Bari, Vito Leccese, who immediately after taking office had asked the other shareholders (the Province Bat and the Municipality of Trani) to remove the company from the influence of Alessandro Cataldo, the former leader of Sud al Centro accused of electoral corruption who had wanted the hiring of Santeramo.

In the past few months, the three public bodies have approved a disciplinary code for similar joint control over Stp. President Francesco Tandoi then took over the role of CEO, effectively ousting Santeramo, who was accused of a series of alleged management responsibilities: the former director denied all charges.

Councilor Angela Conserva, representing the Metropolitan City (appointed in the Decaro era on the recommendation of Sud al Centro), did not show up at yesterday's board meeting, while the other councilor Costantino Monteleone abstained. The president and the other two councilors voted in favor.
