Massa Sports Day, everything is ready for the traditional Unvs event

Massa, May 24, 2025 – Everything is ready in the council chamber of the Municipality for the 2025 edition of the Massa Sports Day scheduled for tomorrow starting at 10 am. Suspense until the last moment around the names of the poker of sportsmen protagonists of the four most anticipated awards, those of the sportsman, the athlete and the Massa veteran of the year 2024, together with that of the winner of the City of Massa Award, which will be revealed during the traditional ceremony promoted by the Massa section “Bacchilega-Targioni” of the National Union of Sports Veterans, in collaboration with the Municipality of Massa. «For the Massa section, Sunday's event represents the most important annual event – ​​explains the president of the Massa veterans Enrico Barsotti – which involves a significant commitment and at the same time allows us to take the pulse of the local sports universe».

To underline that «it is a beautiful event – ​​is the mayor of Massa Francesco Persiani, who applauds the veterans of Massa – for a celebration that belongs to the whole city and that is repeated year after year transmitting positive values ​​to athletes of all ages». While Roberto Acerbo says he is «particularly happy and proud – underlines the sports councilor of the Municipality of Massa – to be able to reward some of the greatest athletes of Massa this year too». As always, numerous athletes, managers, former athletes and other workers, more or less known, who will receive prizes and awards for the sports activity of the past year, or for the merits achieved.

"This year too we are awarding some special recognitions - recalls Ettore Biagini, former national director and emblematic figure of the National Union of Sports Veterans - as is the case of the attribution of two prizes for the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Massa from Nazi-fascism, which will go to the historian Davide Del Giudice of Montignoso and to the historical-cultural association Linea Gotica Tirrenica".

First official outing as a new national manager for the veteran from Massa, the former volleyball player Nicoletta Roni, excited but always ready to roll up her sleeves "to keep high the name of the Massa section, the one with the highest number of members in Italy", as she herself proudly recalls.
