Grand Egyptian Museum Opening Cancelled With War in the Background
In retaliation, Iran attacks targets in Israel. The bombings kill at least 140-150 people in Iran and four in Israel.
Due to the conflict, the airspace over Israel, Iran and Iraq was closed, and initially (it has already reopened) over Jordan.
Crowned heads and heads of state were invited to the opening of GEMThe likely new opening date for GEM is the last quarter of 2025.

Invitations to the ceremony have already been received by, among others, US President Donald Trump, King Harald V of Norway, King Frederick X of Denmark, King Philip VI of Spain, as well as most leaders of Middle Eastern and African countries.
Until the full opening, the museum will, as before, make part of its exhibition available to visitors.
