On June 1, the bathing season traditionally began in the country, which will last until September 30. During this period, organizers of water recreation can open their bathing areas for the entire season or only part of it. The State Sanitary Inspectorate regularly monitors the water quality in water bodies, providing detailed data in the Bathing Service. This is where you can check whether bathing in a chosen place will definitely be safe. A list of all officially operating bathing areas in Poland, including those in Podkarpacie, is available at https://sk.gis.gov.pl/kapieliska/mapa.
[middle1]Those already open, with tested and safe water, are marked in green. Red is a warning that the bathing area is currently not available for use. The service also provides reasons for this situation. Inactive bathing areas are marked in grey, and information about the planned start and end of the bathing season is also provided next to them. In addition to water quality, the data also includes details about the infrastructure and organizational issues in a given body of water.
The State Sanitary Inspectorate starts water tests no earlier than 10 days before the opening of a given bathing area. No less than three tests are needed (for bathing areas where the bathing season does not exceed 8 weeks – no less than two) in a given bathing season, during the period of operation of the bathing area. The break between subsequent tests cannot exceed one month.
Some are already open, others are starting soonIn the Podkarpackie province, we currently have three active bathing areas. These are the Podwolina Bathing Area in Nisko County, where the bathing season started on June 12 and will last until the end of August (the water quality was assessed as excellent), the bathing area in Radawa in Jarosław County (the season started on June 21, the end is planned for August 31), supervised by the PSSE in Jarosław and open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and the Ostrów Beach located in Ostrów County, which started on June 15 and will host beachgoers until the end of August (the water quality is excellent). The latter bathing area, open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., is supervised by the County Sanitary and Epidemiological Station in Przemyśl...
