Alexander Pichushkin , known as the Bitsevsky maniac, convicted of 49 murders, was denied a petition to be transferred to another penal colony. This was reported by the SHOT Telegram channel.
According to the publication, the famous capital maniac demanded that the court transfer him from the colony in the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous District to a correctional facility in Mordovia . By moving closer to home, he hoped that he would be able to see his family more often. In addition, Pichushkin explained that for health reasons he needed to move to a region with a milder climate.
The "Bitsevsky Maniac" was sentenced to life imprisonment in 2007. The court established his involvement in at least 49 massacres in Bitsevsky Park - his victims included acquaintances, random alcoholics and homeless people.
In May, Pichushkin filed a complaint against the Federal Penitentiary Service for refusing to transfer him to another region.
