The Investigative Committee has completed its investigation of the criminal case against former deputy of the Primorsky Krai Legislative Assembly Yevgeny Kostyukov, who is accused of large-scale fraud.
As RIA Novosti was informed by the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for Primorsky Krai, in 2016-2017 he organized the theft of 56 million rubles of budget funds allocated for the reconstruction of sewerage facilities in Bolshoy Kamen.
Kostyukov, elected in 2016, is suspected of submitting false documents on completed work to the Federal Treasury Department for Khabarovsk Krai. The money was stolen from Primorsky Vodokanal.
After a criminal case was opened in 2019, the former deputy fled abroad, but was detained in Turkey and deported to Russia in early 2023. In January 2020, his powers as a deputy were terminated early.
The investigation has been completed and the case materials have been transferred to the prosecutor for approval of the charges.
Earlier it was reported that the FSB had declassified unique evidence about the last hours of Hitler’s life.
