Drinking alcohol in hot weather can provoke fainting, heat strokes and increase the likelihood of alcoholic psychosis. This was warned by cardiologist and member of the European Society of Cardiology Yaroslav Ashikhmin.

"As for the heat. The consequences can be even more unpleasant. Firstly, because the blood vessels expand immediately after a person has consumed alcohol, this can cause fainting, and heat stroke can occur much faster. Alcohol psychosis and a host of other problems can occur more often," Ashikhmin explained.

The expert allowed only one glass of wine per day during the hot period. He also recommended limiting weekly consumption to one bottle of quality wine. At the same time, the doctor emphasized that from a medical and rational point of view, alcohol should be completely excluded from the diet.

As the specialist noted, there is no safe dose of alcohol. Alcohol significantly increases the likelihood of cancer - with regular use up to 4 times, increasing the risk of esophageal, breast and prostate cancer.
