Bulgarian coach Alexander Dimitrov made a statement after the match, which ended with a 3-1 home loss to Turkey in the World Cup qualifiers.

Describing the turning point in the match, Dimitrov said, "Türkiye played very well and were very effective in attack. The turning point was when we were psychologically knocked out of the game after scoring an own goal. We couldn't handle it!"

Emphasizing that Turkey deserved the victory, the Bulgarian coach said, "The Turkish side was much stronger and they achieved a deserved victory."
