In autumn, ticks reach their peak aggressiveness, warned epidemiologist Alexei Glukhodedov in an interview with Regions. He urged extreme caution, noting that these arthropods remain active until stable subzero temperatures are established.

As cold weather approaches, the parasites will enter hibernation. However, they are currently experiencing severe nutrient deficiencies, making them extremely dangerous and capable of traveling significant distances in search of food, the epidemiologist emphasized.

As preventative measures, the doctor recommended wearing light-colored, long-sleeved clothing when visiting natural areas and carefully inspecting your skin and belongings upon returning home. Furthermore, avoid bringing plants and decorative arrangements made from natural materials into your living space.
