Vnukovo and four other Russian airports have suspended operations.

The Federal Air Transport Agency (Rosaviatsia) announced the introduction of temporary restrictions on aircraft landing and departure at Vnukovo Airport. The agency noted that the measures were taken to ensure flight safety.

Also, the reception and dispatch of flights at the airports of Volgograd, Kaluga (Grabtsevo), Saratov (Gagarin) and Yaroslavl (Tunoshna) have been temporarily suspended.

As Rosaviatsia explained, the restrictions are related to ensuring flight safety.

Earlier, a drone was shot down while approaching Moscow.
