Former TVS Uzbekistan databank analyst Yevgeny Serebryakov, who is on Russia's list of terrorists and extremists and accused of blowing up a car carrying a Defense Ministry colonel in northern Moscow, was recruited through the game Mobile Legends, TASS reports, citing court documents.
According to the case file, the group's organizers recruited individuals with negative attitudes toward politics and Russian citizens, willing to prepare and carry out terrorist attacks for money. After recruitment, communication with Serebryakov took place via the private messenger app WireMin.
According to investigators, the target of the May terrorist attack was a Defense Ministry employee participating in a special military operation: Serebryakov allegedly followed him, rented an apartment near his residence, placed a bomb under a car on Sinyavinskaya Street, and fled.
